Water is one of the most important natural resources on Earth. Every living organism needs water to survive. Human beings use water for drinking, cooking, farming, industries and many other activities. However, the availability of clean water is decreasing in many areas because of pollution, population growth and excessive use of groundwater.

Water conservation is therefore necessary. Rainwater harvesting, repairing leaking taps and using water carefully can help save this valuable resource. Farmers can also adopt modern irrigation methods to reduce water wastage. If people become aware of the importance of water and change their habits, future generations will have enough water for their needs.
